The most positive thing about Janathon so far is that I am still looking forward to getting outside and running. It's not turned into a chore yet and that has to be a good thing.
Today's run was back on the same route as Day 4's run. A 3.5 mile route down into the valley, around a loop and climbing back up a 1.5 mile hill (route and elevation shown here).
I must be getting some benefit from the miles done so far in the month too. 7 days ago it took me some 3 and a half minutes longer to do this run, and importantly I didn't actually push it today either - simply running at whatever pace my body felt like without paying any attention to the watch. Surprisingly, mile 3, the one which is completely uphill, proved to be the fastest of the 3 full miles. Probably looking forward to getting home?
Day 11...
Miles : 3.54
Time : 35:30
Music : The Union - Siren's Song (2012)
The best runs are those where you let your legs take you where they want to go. Removing the pressure of times and distances makes it much more enjoyable. Glad you're enjoying your running (and #Janathon).
